Last night one of the girls who had previously been really rude to - TopicsExpress

Last night one of the girls who had previously been really rude to me every time I see or talk to her, other staff and just is pretty disrespectful in general, started to open up to me. I know it was Jesus who helped me yesterday and the girls too. Another girl who I restrained a couple weeks ago asked me to put a cross on her forehead. Before bed because she was scared of demons. And when I left the room I could hear her say loudly, Help me God! Help me! I did put the cross on her head. And prayed over her too. Back to the first girl, it was her birthday. Now, normally these girls make a big deal and countdown to their birthdays in treatment like a month out so everyone knows. Not this one, so even after she was rude to me and I found out it was her birthday, I asked her why she didnt make a big deal. She was very nervous, fidgety and beginning to be emotional. Shes a very tiny but tough kid. She told me Halloween and her birthday are hard. Shes one of the kids who has flashbacks and is triggered very easily by touch especially in her room I did notice that previously when Ive worked in her unit. On my bed checks at night shes snapped at me more than once when I lift her blanket and check her face, neck and breathing. We have to but shell cuss you out almost every time. Well, its because her father raped her. And beat her all the time. Her mother and brothers still dont know and she wont tell them. On Halloween he would hit her for every piece of candy she ate or got. On her 13th birthday last year he punched her in the back for every year of her age. Shes like 95 lbs 410 maybe. The other staff said its really good she talked to me, she doesnt talk to many staff in a positive way. I was just as shocked. I asked her, Do you believe in God? Which is risky to say in the open to these girls in front of other staff. She said, This is my problem with God, my dad always said it says in the bible to discipline your children.. I said, Yes but what he did to you is abuse, not discipline. A good father will discipline out of love and not their own anger. You cant blame God for your dads ignorance. She said she understood the difference. I was about to be sick after all she told me since hes never been prosecuted for his crimes and apparently killed a man with his bare hands, did prison time prior to gaining custody (and shes not even his bio daughter which she learned not too long ago) but the state deemed him the more fit parent (mom is a drug addict) I looked at her and said, you know what? Maybe hell never meet the law here but he will meet God soon and he will pay for those crimes against you. He will be judged by God sooner than he thinks, I promise you that. She looked at me and smiled. The first one Ive really seen from her during the whole conversation. I told her happy birthday again, and goodnight. It all made sense to me then that these girls need to know God and need to know children are especially close to His Heart. More girls were very clingy to me yesterday and it was because I said the chaplet and received Jesus in Communion before work and asked for his help. Hell always send His Angels if you ask. Children in the dark want to find the Light, you see? Please pray for the girls I work with and all abused throughout the world!
