Last night something exciting happened to The Boy when he was playing some soccer game on his xbox. The reason I know this is because there were clues. The first one being that he started jumping around and screaming like a psycho. For a minute there I wasnt able to tell if the screams I was hearing were those of someone about to be attacked by, lets say, a horde of zombies, or if they were the screams of someone who had just won the lottery. But since I was busy making dinner, I just shrugged and figured that either way Id probably find out more information at some point so there was no need to exert unnecessary energies to climb the stairs. Eventually I received clue #2 which was The Boy running downstairs saying Mom! Did you hear me screaming? and I said Yes. Is there a murderer or zombies up there? Do you think theyd like some chicken? Then The Boy said that there had been no murderer or zombies (whew!) and that something epic and rare had happened in his soccer game. He then went on to explain how he bought some surprise thingy that usually sucks but this time was freakin awesome and he won the best player that is worth, like, a million dollars. So you won a million dollars? Well, no. But yes. On the video game I did. But not real life. BUT ITS RARE AND EPIC AND EVERYONE IS JEALOUS ON INSTAGRAM! Then he jumped around for about an hour, barely able to sit still for dinner, and kept talking with his mouth full of chicken to say things like Its so epic and Everyone is jealous! and You guys just dont understand how rare this is. YOU JUST DONT GET IT! IM SO HAPPY IM FREAKING OUT! And this morning, for once, he didnt mind being woken up at the butt crack-o-dawn because he needed to get on his xbox and do some things with the things for the player and stuff. And then he need to get on Instagram again and make sure that he didnt forget to rub it in anyones face. I tried once again to act excited but failed. He was disappointed that Im too old and uncool to get it but oh well, Im just happy that he didnt get eaten by zombies because I had spent over an hour making that chicken and if our dinner had been ruined it really woulda been a bummer.
