Last night the House passed the Fiscal Year 2015 Omnibus. Despite its shortcomings, the Omnibus continues to hold the line on discretionary spending which has been reduced by $165 billion since fiscal year 2010. Finally, the legislation will allow the House and Senate to challenge President Obama’s unlawful executive amnesty in January. I am committed to working with my colleagues to promptly bring legislation to block the President’s unlawful actions. I voted for this legislation, but I remain disappointed in our broken budget process and Congress’ failure to get its job done on time.
