Last night was a special one for the FSU: our working group that took on one of the big four banks and successfully reversed ANZs decision to offshore 590 jobs WON best workplace campaign at the ACTU National Union Awards. These workers spent countless hours organising and attending regular meetings with colleagues on and offsite; collected signatures for petitions; raised community awareness with community stalls, BBQs and farmers’ markets; and engaged local politicians. ACTU President Ged Kearney said the FSU members’ success was an “inspiration to other workers” across the country. Congratulations to everyone involved.
