Last night was cold, but tonight should be a few degrees colder. Bundle up this evening if you will be tailgating and attending local high school football games. 40s at kickoff and upper 30s by the end of the game. The risk of a freeze area wide overnight as temperatures dip to near 30. Many spots away from the city could drop into the 20s. After the freezing start Saturday, expect a warming trend into the afternoon. A sunny, then partly sunny sky with afternoon temperatures in the upper 50s to near 60. It will not be as cold Saturday night with lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s. A mix of sun and clouds Sunday with mid 60s by afternoon. Low 70s return for Monday with mid 70s possible Tuesday through Thursday. Dry until Thursday (Halloween) when an approaching cold front brings showers and even some thunderstorms back to the Tennessee Valley...(David)
