Last night was one of the most profound and humbling and literally electrifying events of my life. I preface by saying I am absolutely unable to say in a public forum whom I was working with BUT, there is a pantheon of musicians inhabited by only the smallest handfuls of living legends and this person is one. Absolutely incredible experience that will last me a lifetime in memory. At one point, I touched the speaker that the guitar was being amplified by as we were setting up mics (an incredibly awesome sounding Matchless brought down by Phil, the President of Matchless amps) and for all the records of this person Id listened to over the years. all the solos Id attempted to learn, all the pics Id looked at, all the history this person created and witnessed, and I was on the other end of that soul with my very hand touching the speaker. Another pinnacle moment for me. Thank you, Universe and those who invited me and welcomed me there. Still processing!
