Last night was the experience of a lifetime. Getting on THE MIC is no joke. I dreamed of doing it for years. I finally did last night, and I left with a whole new respect for the art that I have loved since my youth. For those who dont consider flowing on the MIC an art form, I double dare you to try to do it. Much respect to James Cooper and Marc Flemon for taking the time to sit down and talk with me and share your insights, wisdom and experiences, and hats off to ALL the dope MCs/rappers who did their thing. If I can properly convey in writing what I experienced at Ice Event Center & Grill (OKC), hopefully the result will be enlightened eyes, opened minds and greater support for the abundance of talent that is in the city. The East side is truly a beautiful place, rappers are extremely intelligent and talented individuals, Ice Event Center is a blessing to the community, and Coop and Marc are as real as it gets. ...
