Last night was very special--I am so honored to accept the nomination of my party for the 8th Congressional District. Thank you to all of my supporters, campaign volunteers, and staff members – I am humbled by everything you have done to support my campaign. I also want to recognize Susan Grettenberger, Ken Darga, and Jeffrey Hank for your shared commitment to campaigning with civility – the voters owe you a debt of gratitude. Over the coming months I look forward to having conversations across this district on my plan to get things done for the middle class – to create jobs, help the next generation compete, demand equal pay for equal work, and honor our commitment to our seniors. Politicians in Washington have been too busy serving the special interests and themselves. The time for dysfunction in Washington is over. I have always stepped up to get things done – whether on my family’s farm after my dad passed away or as Chair of the Ingham County Land Bank – and in Congress I’ll do the same.
