Last night we had to put our beloved dog, Kata down, as she suffered from chronic pneumonia. Her condition developed over time, due to a congenital defect in short-nosed dogs. She inhaled mucus from her snout, until nearly 3/4 of her lung capacity was compromised. The vet left little hope for survival, and we allowed Kata to pass on. She will rest in a favorite spot in our back yard, and will be missed sorely. She was the best dog I ever had....
