Last night we mentioned big plans for Lady Bugs future and I think - TopicsExpress

Last night we mentioned big plans for Lady Bugs future and I think today is a good time to reveal these, and reveal why we are all fighting so hard to help Lady recover. A few weeks ago, Lindy and I (both vet nurses at Moorooka vets) went along to a Dog Behavioral seminar run by an amazing trainer who does alot of work with dangerous dogs. He also runs a program training dogs to be Assistance Dogs for returned soldiers with PTSD. Lady Bug is a pedigree shepherd from working lines. She is intelligent, responds incredibly well to training, eager to please and very gentle and good natured. We want to give Lady to a returned digger with PTSD. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is an incredible difficult condition, and someone in my own family suffers from it. This is a disorder that ruins lives, and I know much of a difference an animal can make to someone with mental illness. My own dogs have been by my side during the hardest parts of my life. We know this would be a wonderful life for Lady - being someones number one, and being able to go everywhere with her person. Were fighting hard to get Lady Bug better so that she can go on to change someones life. We have saved her life so she can be someones lifeline.
