Last night when I took Lily to the emergency vet because she was lethargic & uncomfortable, they found she had a bleeding tumor in her abdomen, presumed to be a hemangiosarcoma. Very aggressive cancer that can be treated with surgery & chemotherapy but will recur in 7 weeks. Had to make that gut-wrenching decision to end her suffering-- she clearly was in distress. So this morning, my parents & I said our goodbyes to sweet, sweet Lily. Our lives are richer because you shared your time with us. Hope there are lots of squirrels in dog heaven for you to chase. Such a good friend!
