Last night, while coming home from Wheeling, I was followed very closely all the way up Route 2, and then up Cherry Hill Road. I was doing the speed limit, which is 25 in that area. The car continued following very closely, and then he passed me, crossing a double yellow line, and speeding.. As I watched him continue to speed up the road, I was devastated to see him almost immediately miss a curve in the road, and plow into a telephone pole. That once beautiful yellow Mustang was absolutely totalled, and the male driver of the car was unconscious. Glass was everywhere, the front bumper was gone, and the car hit a bees nest, and they were attacking us as we went to check on the driver. We called 911 for an ambulance, and I checked the drivers pulse. He started to come around, and I talked with him and kept him still until the ambulance arrived. He was bleeding from several areas, and had glass sticking out of the top of his head. Although I could not swear to it, his erratic driving indicated possible impairment. He was not wearing a seatbelt, and the airbag had deployed. The EMT said it was a miracle he was still alive. I am sending out healing thoughts to the driver named Shane, who is most likely in the hospital. DONT drink and drive!! And WEAR SEATBELTS!
