Last night while watching House MD, I saw an episode where he touts 30% of men are raising a kid that isnt their own. Well, I didnt believe it was so high. BUT--seems the real number is between 5-30% depending on the study. ...thats insane. The studies also pointed out when questioned, the fathers that believed beyond a doubt that the kid was theirs had a near double rate of their child not being theirs. Add in America leads the world in divorce rates and now with infidelity rates rising higher and higher coupled by men have next to no parental rights and zero reproduction rights... no thanks. This is why I will never have another child--and why more and more men are refusing to marry and have kids. When my primary job as a father is to be part time parent and full time ATM at the whims of another human--no thanks. And good luck to the men that feel the urge to enjoy fatherhood. I hope you are one of the rare few that has things turn out like you expect. But, when you live your life expecting an exception instead of the rule--well--you end up being the rule.
