Last nights Shlomo Artzi concert was, as always, spectacular. This time, however, it included an especially poignant moment when someone handed Artzi a slip of paper halfway through the show. He read it and, shortly afterwards, he performed the extremely moving song Wipe Your Tears. As he played, the cameras panned the audience, and the backdrop screens showed a woman in the crowd, struggling to contain her emotions. Artzi then revealed that hed played this on request as a tribute to Yair Ashkenazi who died in Tzuk Eitan. This is his wife, he said gently as the woman on the screen sobbed. A reminder that are all one and that, despite the sometimes raw emotions of life in Israel, I couldnt live anywhere else. exEthttps://youtube/watch?v=fritEwYaFH0&feature=youtu.be
