Last nights Tori Amos evening at the DPAC ranks up there in my top 5 concert experiences of all time. She has that same essence of power that commands a room and garners respect like Madonna, but on the extreme opposite end of the spectrum, in that less-is-more kind of way. It was just Tori, her baby grand, a synth, and an organ, and I sat in spellbound silence for two hours, studying her fingers and drinking up her still flawless voice. I know this kind of show isnt for everyone, and youd have to be a true fan to appreciate the raw simplicity of it. But I am, so I did. It was exactly what I wanted. Thank you, Tori.
