Last nights dinner was wonderful. We met at the apartment of Kevins friends, Jean Pierre and Dider. The apartment was very stylish - 3 bedrooms, peaked roof, beamed celings, fireplace, modern funiture, Barcelona chairs. We went to a restaurant around the corner from them. My appetizer we eggs poached in a red wine vinegar sauce, over a toasted baguette slice with bacon. Dinner was Chicken Chasseur, a one pot chicken cooked in red wine and stock with carrots, potatoes. mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic and tarragon. Delicious. The chicken had a real gamey chicken flavor, not like supermarket store bought chicken, and the carrots were very - carrotty. No dessert but tasty meal.
