Last nights dream: Jonathan D. Kaplan had just been elected President of the US, and I was chosen as an unspecified member of his cabinet. Our first meeting was set to discuss topics concerning morality, advertising, and hunger issues in America. As we proceeded with our discussion, President Kaplan took notes directly onto the oak table in large, cursive acronyms that brought about more attention than the actual topics. Topic #1 was that of Miley Cyrus, the message she was sending to Americas youth through her attire, and what type of impact this may have. It was decided by the cabinet to just let the girl be and wear whatever clothing she felt necessary, if any at all. I suppose this volleys the issue back into parents courts to interpret and discuss the idea of free speech with their children. Probably not a bad idea. The second and final topic of the discussion was that of the necessity for more, and better quality food on a local level. An immediate response (though not terribly original) was to include a mandatory garden in every school, nationwide; not to mention a coinciding greenhouse to continue production through the winter season where applicable. Every child in every school, learning and appreciating the cultivation of their own food - and sharing it with those around them. Perhaps we could enroll Miley as a spokesperson for this concept, and remind parents that at one time they were naked hippies with food growing in their backyard too.
