Last on the introduction list, our very own member of UT MARA and Chief Adjudicator of Novice, Terence Aaron! The words chief and Terence have always been synonymous with each another. He learnt the art of persuasion and public speaking whilst growing up in the rainforests of Borneo, where he was born and bred to succeed his father as tribe chieftain. He then became increasingly frustrated with tribal politics and equity violations committed by tribe leaders, and swiftly (well, not so swiftly if you know Terence) decided to get on his raft and expand (again, why would Terence do this?) his horizons. After getting washed up on a beach in Klang, he joined the UT MARA Debate Society, where he tried spreading Catholicism and discovered death metal - neither of which were received well here at MARA. He reached the National Royals final last year, where he received the award for Most Likely to Rob a McDonalds. In China, Terence reached the China ABP Quarter-finals, became a born again animist and helped plant one of the only 6 remaining trees in the whole of Beijing. Terence then reached the Grand Finals of the MMU, IIUM and UKM IV. Terence has also featured in the Overall Top Ten at Nationals, Royals, Gender Debate Open and MMU IV. Terence is a great guy to have a coffee and a chat with. As an ardent socialist, he wouldnt mind if you share your lunch with him as well. Terence hopes that youll have a great time at Novice, and wants to remind you that he gives hugs away for free. Written by Rafiq Saladdin, Asian BP Champion, Australs Open Octofinalist, Malaysian National Champion but in his free time, enjoys competitive yodeling.
