Last one Day 21 Llandonna Beach to Benllech. I woke up this - TopicsExpress

Last one Day 21 Llandonna Beach to Benllech. I woke up this morning in Terry’s tent on an air bed and had a great nights Kip, which was helped after drinking 3 large red wines out of a pot noodle mug last night. We emerged from the tent and the sun was shining, I got the brew on and within a couple of minutes Mr jingles the field mouse we met last night was back by our feet washing his face in the wet grass, I am amazed by how friendly Mr Jingles is. I spent a couple of hours with Terry and Mr Jingle’s drinking tea and packing and then we said our goodbyes. Because my feet were still in bad order and I was on a nice beach I took my boots and socks off and walked 3 miles on the sand bare foot to let them breathe and exfoliate any dead skin, which certainly helped. I arrived at a pub called the Ship Inn where I needed to charge my phone and use the Wi-Fi to upload some pics, the landlady gave me the pint on the house and wished me luck. I then cracked on until I reached Benllech, I needed to sort my kit out especially as I was only down to one clean pair of dry socks, I went to the reception of Golden Sands campsite explained what I was doing and I was allowed to stay the night for free. I set up my poncho washed all my socks in the toilets then went to the local pub called the Benllech Arms. I got my pint and soon got talking to a local called Baz Baron, who was also ex Staffordshire Regiment he had got out just before I joined and was aware of my cause/mission through a mutual friend. (Small World) Baz had to get off but by then I had a small crowd listening to my weird but wonderful stories of homelessness. I spent a couple of hours with a guy called Scot who was a local lad and who worked at that establishment. I left as I wanted to get an early night to bang some miles in tomorrow to make up for what I slacked on today. Im feeling confident in making up the miles as I am fed, watered and have 5 pairs of clean dry socks. What a difference a day makes.
