Last period was awesome for the burnpile volunteer team. Here are a few of our accomplishments; hosted a new volunteer from wwoof, built and installed window screens for a fraction of the quoted cost, built a gravity fed shower, installed an herb spiral in a food desert, published our summer newsletter, launched movie night in a new location, launched two new webpages and a social media site, drafted the organizations first fiscal report and began clearing out the non-edible landscaping around the publishing house. This period we have some exciting things planned for growing the projects including getting the back half of the publishing house livable for the volunteer team which includes repairing water damaged and missing walls, removing old hardwood flooring and laying concrete floors, priming the rest of the house, completing the removal of non-edibles, building a 3 stage compost out of pallets and planting seeds for the fall garden to name just a few.
