Last saturday, I went out with a client of mine to check up on possible venues for a training our firm is managing for his consultancy outfit. After getting a good venue for it for a very good price, we resolved to check up on another facility we initially had in mind even though we had made up our minds on using the one we just left. When we got there, there was a training going on in one of the conference rooms. After our enquiries at the reception, we registered for the ongoing training and stepped into the conference hall. I must confess, God really ordered our steps into that hall. We sat down and had close to 45mins of an intense and valuable session on Increasing your Networth as a businessman or entrepreneur. The speaker gave insights on the importance of having defined relationships that support growth in your personal and business life. Ill share this with you from him; Define every relationship around you and its extractable value for you and the person you are in it with. If you gather with your friends and what you talk about doesnt advance you, you sure need to cut down on time spent with them. Surround yourself with relationships that you can extract value from and that the people in it can extract value from you. There, no mindless chatter or pointless affiliation. During the course of the program, I turned around and told my client Sir, I dont take my clients to bars to get them intoxicated with brew..I rather bring them to a place like this to expand their minds and benefit their efforts in the business clime. Oh, by the way, if you are in PH or its environs, look out for the training we will be putting together with the company of this client of mine... Book your seat ahead too.
