Last thursday we celebrated our 2nd annual Margherita Pizza day. - TopicsExpress

Last thursday we celebrated our 2nd annual Margherita Pizza day. We want to first start off by saying that we broke our record from last year and sold 628 Margherita pizzas. The Margherita has been the soul of our pizza menu since the day we opened. Years of hard work and passion were put into making what we believe is a truly spectacular experience. We cannot put into words the gratitude that we have for everyone that participated! It was a humbling experience to hear all the great compliments and feedback from you all. When we hear how much customers love Pizzeria DiMeo’s it makes all the hard work that we put in worth it. With that being said we want to thank our entire staff for putting their hearts into this event. It is an amazing feeling to serve the community with a product that is loved as much as our Margherita pizza. We are also very proud to be giving a donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation of Philadelphia. The organization does a fantastic job of raising awareness for breast cancer and we are glad that we were able to contribute. I’d like to thank my partner Scott for all the hard work that was put into promoting this event. I’d also like to thank my father Pino in believing in me for making my childhood dream reality. It was great seeing everyone in the restaurant again that I hadn’t seen over the past year while i was away cooking in Italy. I’m so excited about all the new and exciting things that are on the horizon this fall at Pizzeria DiMeo’s. Mark your calendars, Thursday, October 30th we will be doing a live mozzarella tasting event. One of our local cheese purveyors will be making fresh mozzarella right before your eyes. It will be a night to remember. We will also be introducing our new salumi & cheese menu that night too. Once again, thanks for helping with the continued success and being part of the evolution of Pizzeria DiMeo’s. Grazie di cuore! Antimo DiMeo P.S. - This is the picture that everyone has been dying to see. Here’s the quick story. I was in the kitchen at La Torre Del Saracino, cooking and minding my own business. A representative from the high end clothing line, ISAIA, asked me to put on their branded chef hat and hold a tray of lemons. They took a few photos and left it at that. To my surprise, 2 months later, a family member walked by ISAIA’s flagship store in Milan and saw my photos hanging all over the store. They were also posted all over their social media sites. So ISAIA if you are reading this, I think maybe I deserve a suit at least.
