Last time we asked an important question, whether we Zimbabweans - TopicsExpress

Last time we asked an important question, whether we Zimbabweans are complicit in our oppression by Mugabe and his ZANU(PF)? This is after we have seen a continued obsession with trivialities as our country heads for total disaster. As we write, 21 bodies of Zimbabweans have just arrived in Bulawayo. They died mining illegally for survival in a foreign country, South Africa to be specific, to save themselves and their families from starvation. These are most likely children of Gukurahundi victims or victims of political violence thanks to Mugabes ZANU(PF). Back home in Zimbabwe food is now a luxury. Back home in Zimbabwe, to mine illegally you must be well connected to the ZANU(PF) mafia. So these 21 plus many more who survived the mining tragedy had no choice. Its a question of life and death. If you stay in Zimbabwe you die. If you go to South Africa and do illegal mining you die. So this issue of life and death of fellow Zimbabweans is perhaps the most important newsworthy item for any sane Zimbabwean to talk about, for any sane Zimbabwean newspaper to publish. But the week is inundated with MDC-T stories of Elton Mangoma, Tendai Biti and Morgan Tsvangirai fighting for power. But in whose interest is the infighting in MDC-T?---No guessing here, its in Mugabe and is mafias interest for MDC-T to be seen collapsing never mind that the economy is collapsing, never mind that people are dying. So we still ask ourselves, are we Zimbabweans complicit in our own oppression by ululating while Mugabe destroys our country, by allowing him to divert our thinking into his own schemes? And as MDC-T senior members and some of us seem completely confused as Mugabe continues with his looting of our resources, he is now working hard for a section of his party to work towards dramatizing sanity in government. We said here that Jonathan Moyo was NIKUVed for a reason. The dude is desperate to remain relevant and now he is the dramatized anti-corruptionambassador. Joice Mujuru does not understand, maybe she does now, that Mugabe runs a parallel system that no one in ZANU(PF) has access to. Thats where Jonathan Moyo is drawing his salary and power, from The Office of the President. Jonathan Moyos job is simple, he has to portray ZANU(PF) as fighting against corruption because Mugabe knows that that is one of the issues Zimbabweans dislike about his rule. Mugabe knows that he cant do without corruption which he allows for patronage purposes but he has to be see doing something about it. Thats why the dramatized anti-corruptioncrusade. Just wind back to history. Jonathan Moyo is the chief architect of jingles on ZBC dating back to the late 2000s when he single handedly claimed that he saved ZANU(PF) from sinking through his jingles on ZBC. That caused ZBC to lose listeners and revenue . Currently ZBC is only getting a few hundred dollars in revenue while its expenditure bill is into millions thanks to Jonathan Moyo. But listen to the same Jonathan Moyo on Thursday. He waffled, ZBC is producing content nobody is watching but the workers want to be paid. Where do you expect the government to get the money to pay you when the companys monthly revenue collection does not tally with its astronomical salary bill.Time has changed. You cannot continue airing jingles such as Hondo Yeminda and Dai Kuri Kwedu Machembere adverts. I looked for the meaning of hypocrite but it does not best describe Jonathan Moyo. It is Jonathan Moyo who introduced Hondo yeminda and Rambai Makashinga jingles meaning it is Jonathan Moyo who pulled ZBC into the mud. But then after having done that to start accusing the same ZBC of being stuck in the same mud that he put them is shameful at best and idiotic at worst. ZBC and Zimpapers are what they are because of Jonathan Moyo. But the reason why Jonathan Moyo is allowed to fool the country is because Mugabe has put so much money in rigging the 2013 elections and now he is putting so much money on propaganda to remain relevant till he dies. And Mugabe has found his usual clients who like to be abused like this,,,its us Zimbabweans who tolerate such cheap diversionary tactics. Zimbabweans should forget that Mugabes government is worried about their plight. If he looks concerned its because its part of his propaganda to be viewed as concerned. He just threw a party, a wedding party for Bona worth at least $10 million, he has just thrown a birthday party worth at least $3 million and the best thing he can do is sponsor attention to Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC-T. Mugabe will never sleep until he does to Tsvangirai as he did to Joshua Nkomo. Either Tsvangirai must die or be integrated into ZANU(PF). Thats why the issue of the Highlands home is relevant to Mugabe. Its a carrot to Tsvangirai and if the carrot fails then the stick which explains the stage managed chaos in MDC-T. Both Joshua Nkomo and Morgan Tsvangirai have become the most hated by Mugabe because they have managed to get a sizeable number of seats in Parliament and Mugabes security has identified the two as threats to his power at different times of his rule. So that is why the whole week has been a Tsvangirai and MDC week and not the 21 dead illegal miners because between the two only MDC-T falls in Mugabes interests. He doesnt care about the other 21 Zimbabweans who died in a foreign country which is a shame obviously to his rule.
