Last time we visited Kintra Farm campsite on Islay, some years ago now, we had a whole packet of butter stolen from our tent by a cat. It ate the entire block. This week the butter thief returned! I caught him departing the scene of the crime, with a half munched packet dragged from a cool bag from where he fled. Yesterday in conversation with a lady in a chandlery/hardware shop in Bowmore Stu mentioned where we are staying whilst on Islay. The lovely and rather elderly lady said that we had chosen a lovely spot to camp. "Funny thing though, I had friends who visited and stayed at Kintra", she said incredulously. "They had cheese stolen out of their tent by a cat!" You have to imagine this in the soft singsong lilting voice of an Islay Gael. Stu told her about the butter stealing! They both had a giggle about it.
