Last time when I was still a salaried employee, I had send a request to stop deduction fm my salary to the MBMF Funds, I had to fill in the form from MUIS, email back to them. On the form you will have to indicate the reasons why you want to stop contribution. I wrote, I didnt know where actually the funds are going to and i would rather give it directly to the mosque myself They will then issue a certificate which is valid for 1 year to confirm that I had requested to stop the deduction. BUT my HR would have to remember to renew this certificate once it expires or else they can be fine should they forgot to make the deduction after the certificate expire. And so of coz we had to forgo the whole process and I had to sedekah unwillingly. #uniquelysingapore #sedekahpaksaan #darahup
