Last week Claire Hafdahl and I stopped at McDonalds, not a normal destination and in general I feel like a bad idea, however when we came out there was a Tesla Model S P85 parked next to us. We had read all about this electric car on the Oatmeal but had never seen one in person. The guys that owned it saw us ogling it when they came out and started telling us all about it. After a half hour of chatting they insisted we each test drive it! They had us stop and then floor it and the acceleration was mind blowing, and totally silent!! A few days later we read that Tesla Motors released all of their patents for everyone to use to spur on more electric car development. What a stellar move! The more I read about this car and the company the more impressed I am. Ray Mattison and Noah Marach you need to test drive one! teslamotors/
