Last week I attended the Allerdale Health Summit. I was shocked to hear that 48.8% of all kids between 6-11 are classed as obese. Copeland was 0.2% better. I was concerned that they were relying on councillors to drive changes. Ive volunteered my services to help lower this figure. Rest assured I think the problem is much greater than this. Lots of kids have very fast metabolisms so are probably eating more rubbish than some of the kids classed as obese. Looking at a two pronged attack. Educating parents and getting into schools to educate kids. Both are needed without one the other will fail. Was on the phone to Ben Coomber this morning and he was a massive help. Never met such a busy guy who always has time to listen and help
