Last week I did something Ive been wanting to do for quite a while and thats learn to fly fish. I went to an introductory class taught by professional fly fishing guide Walt Fulps where we spent about eight hours starting with a few hours classroom instruction which covered the basics of equipment and then did some casting at an area pond. Later that afternoon we traveled on to Montauk State Park for some real fishing. For anyone interested in learning to fly fish, Walts a great guy and a practical, patient teacher. Just look at the lunker I pulled out on my first attempt! Seriously, Walt can show you the ropes and also guide you after his beginners class as you continue to hone your skills or even if youre a seasoned pro.
