Last week I expressed my opinion that Obamacare is certainly a TAX - TopicsExpress

Last week I expressed my opinion that Obamacare is certainly a TAX . . . a NEW TAX upon the American people. Today I have another thought for you to consider on the Obamacare disaster . . . What if corporations had NOT been exempted from the Obamacare deadline for one year? Right now there are millions of Americans who work for corporations (or who are receiving their retirement insurance benefits through their former corporation) who have been assured by those corporations that their healthcare/insurance rates and deductibles are NOT going up . . . and that they will be able to keep their current plan and their current doctor. These people are not concerned about Obamacare . . . because they have been shielded from its effects for the next year . . . and so they are walking around believing that it wont affect them next year either. I think these thoughts, expressed by Martin Niemoller, apply directly to your situation: First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me. See ushmm.org/wlc/en/article.php?ModuleId=10007392 These words were written by Niemoller following WWII, describing how the German people were overcome by Nazi tyranny. He was describing the specific process that has been used over and over and over again throughout history by rising tyrants who thoroughly understood the successful principle known as Divide and Conquer. It is no accident that the Obama administration willingly chose to exempt corporations from the effects of Obamacare for a year. It is a specific Divide and Conquer tactic that allows them to keep the American people who are now and will be in the future adversely affected by Obamacare from banding together into a large enough group at one time to launch a successful rebellion against this form of tyranny. Those who are affected by it first will be relatively small in number compared to the eventual numbers who will be affected when corporations have to implement this new tax upon their employees too. It is highly ironic that Republicans believe that the decision to postpone the effects of Obamacare for a year for corporations was a win for them. It was not a win it was a loss. Every successful tyrant understands the strategy of letting his opponent win a battle . . . so that he can eventually win the actual war. If you are walking around saying to yourself, Its not my problem . . . my rates and deductibles have not been raised . . . so I dont need to stand up and speak out against this tyranny - just wait a while . . . Your turn is coming. And when it comes the justification will be made that Millions of Americans survived [note that I didnt say prospered, I said survived] the implementation of Obamacare for individuals last year so it would be UNFAIR for you to continue to be exempted now. The precedent for the destruction of YOUR economic and constitutional freedoms is being set RIGHT NOW. The only question that remains is whether or not you will stand up and speak out NOW . . . or wait until your group has been isolated and there is no one else left to stand up with you when your turn comes. If you wait until your turn comes you will be helpless. History has proven that fact over and over and over again. It ought to be obvious to anyone who is paying any attention at all, that living in this age of new technologies will not save you. The new technologies are simply making it easier than it has ever been before for tyrants to identify, isolate, and target those who oppose them. If you wont stand together you will fall separately. Oh, BTW, if you think you are exempt from the process that Niemoller described just because you will be able to temporarily receive benefits under Obamacare that you dont actually have to pay for yourself . . . YOUR TURN WILL COME LAST. Your payment will be made, because, in reality . . . There is no such thing as a free lunch.
