Last week I had some of the most rewarding experiences in my life so far as a singer and a musician! It was not about a big film or a recording, not about having a super-crazy gig, but about the simple joys of music! We were out in Hampi and Gokarna, shooting the video of my new single, and wed run into total strangers.. Theyd sometimes ask me to play classic Beatles songs, seeing my guitar.. And then wed end up having spontaneous jam sessions on the beach, or maybe by the ferry stop, or against the sunset on the ruins of Hampi. It was just surreal to make that sublime connection with a total stranger just through music! We had an incredible time out there and made some really good friends! More stories on that coming soon! The song, this time, is in Malayalam, and is inspired from a few lines in what I believe to be one of the finest philosophical writings in our language, Jnanappana. The lyrics contain a few lines from that amazing legacy, and the rest is written by our very own Anu Elizabeth Jose. The video is directed by my partner-in-every-crime Ganesh Raj and shot by Anend C Chandran, assisted by Antony Mangaly Posters, and formal announcements will follow soon, this is just a heads up!
