Last week I received a breakdown of how my tax was spent last year. Almost £900 went to welfare. I have never claimed anything so Id rather not pay that, thanks. £700 went to health. Therefore I am paying my own wages as an NHS worker. £256- national debt interest. I never got us in debt so why should I pay? £200 on defence. Sorry, but the govt are cutting the armed forces and the police so can I claim a refund? Government administration cost me £75. I can do my own thanks. Overseas aid was £42. There are people suffering here so are we right in sending money abroad? I hope we never find alien life out in space cos Im sure we will send them money as well. £30 contribution to the EU budget. I thought to contribute was a voluntary action, so Ill have my money back please. Education was £500. I am almost 52 years old. If I havent learnt enough by now I never will. This is an example of how the working man/woman is well and truly shafted by our government. Yours, A disgruntled taxpayer.
