Last week, I was honored to stand with my Democratic women Senate colleagues to urge Congress to pass Senator Harkins Fair Minimum Wage Act and raise the minimum wage to $10.10/hour. This is particularly important for women, who make up 64% of all low wage workers in this country. Raising the minimum wage would benefit 15 million working women, pull millions of families out of poverty, and give a much needed boost to the economy.
