Last week I went to the new offices of Prostate Cancer UK by London Bridge to collect some material and have a bit of tour and an explanation as to what they do. It was a good opportunity to see how your donations will be used; £25 could give a man diagnosed with prostate cancer unlimited time to discuss treatment options with one of the charitys specialist nurses £100 could pay for the production of 5,000 more information leaflets which could help reach and protect and protect 5,000 men or more £500 could pay for two GPs to be trained at one of the charitys masterclasses £1,000 could pay for a weeks worth of research into new prostate cancer treatments. The new campaign Men United is picking up momentum and is supported by the football league. Training has been going well, the long runs have been lonely but at the same time fulfilling, thought provoking and therapeutic despite the cold and mostly rain filled early mornings, lunch-times, evenings and weekends.
