Last week Melissa attended the Deckchair Theatre Collection exhibition at Victoria Hall Fremantle. The Deckchair Theatre, a nationally recognised developer of contemporary Australian theatre created and presented iconic Australian stories through their plays. After giving so much to the community overs 30 years the Deckchair Theatre closed its doors in late 2012. Thank you to Cathy Hall for all your hard work in putting together a fantastic exhibition. Today the Fremantle Festivals Looking at Collections workshop will explore what makes a collection important by showcasing heritage items from the Deckchair Theatre. 1.30pm – 3pm Council Reception Room, City of Fremantle (access via stairs in Kings Sq) Deckchair Theatre Fremantle Fremantle History Society Fremantle Festival
