Last week, Troop B hosted its 4th Annual Youth in Motion Summer Camp. Everyone involved, including counselors, had a wonderful time. 41 kids from the New Orleans Metro Area learned about leadership, building friendships, conflict resolution, importance of seat belts and the Louisiana State Police Motto, Courtesy Loyalty and Service. They enjoyed a week of fishing, air boat rides, swamp tours, Jefferson Parish Fire Department and Smoke House, Laser Tag, tours of the New Orleans Saints Training Camp, Louisiana State Police K-9 and SWAT Unit and a multitude of other activities. Thanks to the Louisiana State Troopers Association and all other sponsors for their contributions. This camp would not be possible without the donations from our community partners. We are looking forward to next years activities!!
