Last week, our second graders took a fun field trip out to Latta Plantation! Historical Latta Plantation has been a wealth of information and engaging educational places in the Charlotte area for years! Our students were able to learn about colonial history and life during the early part of our countrys existence, toured homes, slave quarters, outdoor kitchens, etc. The students enjoyed themselves, learned much more than they imagined, and were able to interact with the tour guides! For a special treat at the end of the trip, the students were able to make candles! Enjoy the following photos and give our students a big LIKE - especially for fun and engaging field trips!
