Last week students, community leaders and Bridges to Community staff initiated the construction of a library in the community of Tadazna, Siuna. This new library will provide access to information and resource materials for over 220 elementary and high school students. The community of Tadazna was selected because of the high need from local students, who before had to travel 20 km from Tadazna to Siuna to research for their classes, using their time and money for transportation. The teachers of the Tadazna elementary and high school are excited to be receiving the new addition to their school complex to promote the habit of reading and to create a better learning environment!
