Last week this was blogged by The John Blog who is co-workers with a very good friend of mine. It reads: I blogged that I saw a co-worker collapsed on the ground in the break room with paramedics working over him with CPR. Later in the day our group was informed that he passed away. The cause is still unknown. Sadly, the line of work I am in does come with high stress, so I do see this often. Someone passing out, having an episode, they end up fine soon. I got more details later and found out that Greg was only 36 years old. Just a year shy of my age. He was a bit heavy set, but according to my friend at work, a close pal of his, a non smoker, a non drinker, no family history of ailments that would make sense. He was just here one moment and then the next, gone. I went to his memorial service and got to see first hand the kind of man he was. In a long term relationship with a girl he met that was single mom of a 7 year old, he helped raise that boy who is now 17. He was introverted but very funny and a loyal friend when you got to know him, and artistic. He reveled in internet humor and introduced Grumpy Cat to a lot of people in the office. Greg was not too different from me. This could have happened to me. This Tuesday, they are having a bake sale at work to help raise funds for Greg’s family. As wonderful a gesture as those are, they never seem to raise much. I have started a Pledge here if anyone could help in my co-worker’s family’s affairs after his passing. The costs after these tragedies are stressful and, of course, astronomical. This community helps out in many ways, and I know he isn’t known to many here, Hell, I only knew him in head nods in passing, but I know when I see that someone needs help, I sincerely hope to help all I can. If you can, and would like to help, please click THIS Any reblogs or word of mouth would be appreciated. Thank you all so much. Here is a signal boost for the Weekday crew. Any help would be appreciated. Infighting over how to handle the “bake sale” tomorrow is already started. :/ Thanks for your patience and time with this post. https://facebook/greg.keeling.50?fref=ts
