Last week was a busy one. A session came up out of nowhere, learned CeCe Penistons material, then finished off with a gig in Gloucester. Im tired but I wont complain. Any working instrumentalist/singer/composer/producer/arranger, etc. will tell you its a grind but you take the work when you can get it because its what we do (that, and you dont know when that next gig is coming in). It is definitely a leap of faith to go out there and do it! It is the passion, the love of what we do that keeps us in it. I sing it, play it, practice it, compose it, direct it, produce it, arrange it, transcribe it, teach it, and even cut a step to it. It is indeed a big part of my life and Im grateful to God that I have the been given opportunities to make a living doing what I love! It is a blessing not to be taken for granted!
