Last week was a busy week for rehab staff here at the hospital, but some good news for many of our patients. Heres what you missed....On Thursday, Dr. Mader was here for surgery where he was successful in removing tumors from Hope and Levi to begin their year of going tumor free. That night Turtle Hospital staff said goodbye to Fitzy and Katie Love as they were released into Florida Bay to continue their long lived lives after successfully battling the FP virus. Friday, rehab specialist, Marie, and hospital manager, Bette, embarked on the long drive to Dr. Karpinskis in Ft Lauderdale where she would be successful in removing tumors from Arctic and Kobits eyes. Back at home, rehab specialists Devin and Alastair were keeping busy with two new turtles coming their way (Crush and Mia), both lethargic and covered in FP tumors.
