Last weekend most of northern Minnesota struggled to get to zero - TopicsExpress

Last weekend most of northern Minnesota struggled to get to zero during the daytime hours. This weekend there will be a shot of a wintry mix both late Friday and Saturday before it cools back down a bit on Sunday. Amazing difference. A system will pivot through northern Minnesota late Friday through Saturday allowing southern Minnesota including the metro to warm from the upper 20s to the upper 30s for highs between today and tomorrow. Warm air will be yanked up from the south allowing for this possibility of sleet. Mainly cloudy skies for the next two days with sunshine returning on Sunday. Next week looks mild with highs in the upper 20s with light snow moving in on Monday night into Tuesday. Some accumulations are possible across southern Minnesota on Tuesday, so stay tuned for details. We are running around 8 below average to date for snowfall.
