Last year CUWL partnered with CUS for a public speaking workshop to help give Cambridge women the skills they need to thrive in a work environment. The Union is a great place to see high profile speakers and contribute to world class debates. Moreover the President, President Elect and Vice President of the Union are all women who are committed to improving the way women in Cambridge are viewed. If you join the Cambridge Union Society before 18th October, you are entitled to our discounted membership fee of £170 for Life Membership, which works out at about £19 per term, or only £2 per week, over the course of a three-year degree. The Union also offers a generous Access Scheme for those in receipt of the full Newton Trust Bursary, with Life Membership available for the discounted price of £95. The Union joining fee may seem at lot at first, but to put it into perspective; membership is for life, and is half the basic cost of the Varsity ski trip (one week) or just over the price of a single May Ball Ticket (one night)!
