Last year, I conducted auditions in #Kolkata for actors for a couple of projects. And though we got quite a few entries, they were sadly neither good-looking nor intelligent enough to handle the lines. Worst is a lot of them said they cant speak in English. #Mumbai, on the other hand, has never disappointed me with that. I have got actors who are enthusiastic, decently good-looking and at least ready to push themselves. Its so disheartening to see the so - called Cultural Capital of India with such poor quality of actors. And here was I who always felt that you get bolder and better actors in Kolkata.
