Last year after Envision Festival, I made my way over to the Caribbean side of Costa Rica and visited perhaps the most amazing permaculture farm Ive ever stepped foot on, Punta Mona. Fruit trees, vegetables, edible roots, none of which Id ever heard of, all a couple hundred feet away from the ocean. The most delicious things Ive ever eaten. Compost toilets done right, jungle yoga every morning, howler monkeys abound, a tropical food forest in every direction. The sheer transmission I absorbed from being on this land, inspired so much new music, so much dialogue, so many dreams. And like so many others, after visiting Punta Mona, I was inspired to transform and steward my own piece of land into full organic bloom. Since that time, Ive become dear friends with the mad scientist that is Stephen Brooks, lead permaculture designer of Punta Mona. We thought to ourselves, wouldnt it be cool to create a micro-festival at Punta Mona after Envision, so people could extend their stay in Costa Rica, and deepen even more with each other and the land? Capped at 200 people. After the full weekend, you might have said hello to every single person there :) 3 meals a day sourced from Punta Mona and neighboring farms, beachfront and jungle yoga, drum circles, workshops focused on permaculture, eco-village design, eco-construction, community activism and plant medicine. And every night, well wrap it up the days events with a good old fashioned dance party. Like I said, were capping this event at 200 people to maximize connectivity amongst participants, so get your tickets soon!
