Last year, several Cebu Mission RMs came forward to help us pull off a food and craft sale to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. The work is NOT quite done. We still have families living in tents. For this reason, the organization I am with, National Federation of Filipino Americans Associations (NaFFAA) - Utah have organized a benefit concert to raise money to build houses in Tacloban City. The proceeds from this fundraiser will go to Habitat for Humanity who has a housing project already in place. I am calling on all my friends, especially those who live in Utah, to help make this a success. Each house costs $5,000 to build. Our goal is to raise $15,000 or 3 houses. That means 3 families who will no longer live in tents. Alta High School Auditorium sits 750 people. I am inviting all of my friends in Utah, and their friends and family, to help fill the auditorium. We are also selling t-shirts at $10 each. If you cant come to the concert, but would like to donate, buying our t-shirt/s would be a way to help. Our friends in Tacloban City are counting on us. It doesnt take much to help... just a lot of heart. Thanks.
