Last year we bought the DeLorme inReach SE, the latest and greatest emergency satellite communicator. Not only does it have an SOS button that will summon help from search and rescue and the ability to send and receive both texts and emails, it also has social media button so we can share our adventures when we are actually on them in places with no cell phone coverage (which is very common in BC). Look out on FB and Twitter next week when we take to the Nootka Trail for the second time this summer. Unfortunately it cant transmit photos so youll have to wait until we get back to see those.
