Last years Christmas seems so long ago. Last night, I hugged - TopicsExpress

Last years Christmas seems so long ago. Last night, I hugged her tightly and said, Thanks for being here! Jenna snuggled in and exclaimed, Thanks for keeping me here! After waking up this morning, I thought of how difficult it would be to wake up my two kids and prepare them for Christmas morning without their mother. I am so grateful she is here. Kinley was excited that Santa visited; however, we had to send a special letter ahead of his arrival requesting a front door entry due to Kinleys feelings that chimney access wasnt polite. She loved her presents, and played with each before opening the next. Bryson, an eight-month-old smiling through a double ear infection and chicken pox, log rolled around the room for hours while tearing off all visible bows from presents. He loved all of his toys as well, but they will need a thorough washing after he introduced his drool to every known surface. Then, there was Jenna. She quietly sat and took in a number of moments as if realizing the weight of the situation. She played with her children and laughed sporadically and hysterically. I couldnt get enough of watching the little things of life. For reasons unknown, my favorite moment came when Jenna challenged her daughter to a heated battle of Hungry, Hungry Hippos. I literally watched Jenna attempt to beat Kinley and stress during the course of the competitive match. At the conclusion of their contest, Jenna put out her hand and showed me her six marbles to Kinleys twelve. Merry Christmas to everyone! We enjoyed a number of moments in our household, and I hope your home was filled with an equal number of smiles and volume of laughter.
