Late Models return to Albany! The thunder and lightning Late Model Sedans will this weekend make their return to Attwell Park Albany Speedway for the first time this season, and with twenty nominations for the race meeting, round 12 of the Hoosier Tyres Pro Dirt Series, it is set to be a cracker. Leading the charge are last round winner Craig Vosbergen, newly crowned state champion Marc Giancola and the man who won the last round at Albany, Brad Blake. Vosbergen scored three wins from three starts at the Perth Motorplex last weekend and will be looking to claim another win this weekend. He has been consistently fast at every round so far, claiming a number of wins already, and is a real threat again this weekend. Giancola scored an impressive win in the WA title at Bunbury Speedway recently and will be looking to carry on that good form this weekend at Albany. Blake scored third place in the last round behind Jay Cardy and both of them are nominated for this weekend and looking for a solid result. Also in the field are the Oldfield brothers, Warren and Jason, local Albany speedster Wayne Coleman and the returning Ryan Halliday and they, along with all the rest of the cast of the fast will be looking for a good weekend. With the national title just over a month away and with a number of our local competitors heading east, drivers will all be looking to make some final adjustments to their cars in readiness to bring the title back home.
