Late last night (actually about 1:00 a.m. today), I completed one-half of my Labor Day weekend 24 shift hours of ride-along with Dunwoody Police. Riding a day and night shift on same day allows me to efficiently see two sets of rotating shifts and officers, but reminds me of how tiring it must be for them, too. Im recharging today so I can continue with the half on Monday day and evening with the remaining two shifts of officers. I already have a number of good observations and perspectives to discuss with Chief and Council. Im reminded of how blessed Dunwoody is with our police.
