Late night BLOG! 4-25-14 Up late answering emails & working on the Ministry calendar for Spring 2015. Blessed and humbled that the Lord allows us to be busy enough on the Revival Trail to book a full calendar year or further in advance. BUT, those close to me know that Scheduling, Booking and Calendar is one of the hardest & stressful things I do. Its not hard for the reason you are probably thinking. I have never called and invited myself, or anything like that, I only go where I am requested to come. For me its difficult, Simply because I at times have fully booked EVERY NIGHT & pushed myself and my family too hard for too long on the road. Believe it or not, that can be TOUGH! Therefore, I now try to plan wisely & look ahead & book giving my family small breaks along the way to recharge & rest @ HOME! Some would maybe not understand that, and thats fine. But, with another baby on the way, I am praying that God would give me wisdom on having the right BALANCE for what he has for MY life concerning MY family. (I know some think Evangelism and the LIFE ON THE ROAD is a long-term vacation... Let me testify - ITS NOT!) Dont get me wrong, Im not grumbling, anyone who knows me, knows, I LOVE doing what God has CALLED my family to do. I could go preach somewhere EVERY NIGHT and be happy! I LOVE IT!!! I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am a GOD CALLED EVANGELIST! I just want to have the right balance for my familys sake. I dont want to be the preacher who attempts to win the whole world and forgets to reach those whom he is called to love the most- HIS FAMILY! The devil uses this against me sometimes, because I desire for Tucker to experience things and have a GREAT childhood. I want him to be able to put on a TBALL uniform, and I want to be in the stands yelling for him. But with being on the road constantly it is difficult to be on a team. I understand that there are sacrifices, and Im cool with that. I am just saying that is something the enemy uses against me in my mind. Anyhow, I have Bore my soul too long already. But There is a balance, and God has the answer! I appreciate the counsel, wisdom and ideas of other men of God or even preachers kids who have walked down this road of balancing MINISTRY & FAMILY!
